摘要

China's five-year plans set out the nation's stra-tegic orientation with respect to social and economic development. These plans have played an import-ant part in enabling China to become one of the world's largest economies in a rela-tively short space of time and continue to serve as a develop-mental blueprint for the country. The year 2021 marks the beginning of the 14th Five-Year Plan that will run until 2025. While these plans serve as guidelines for domestic devel-opment, this development very much affects international mar-kets, including Africa.
