On the Right Path

摘要

As I look at the extraordinary feat of the Communist Party of China (CPC) over the past hundred years,which is a continuation of the pro-gressive logic of humankind, and which has made the "Middle Kingdom" the lead-ing champion of development today, one word comes to mind: hope. China's message from the newly released publication by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee titled The CPC: Its Mission and Contributions, recounting the struggles, sac-rifices, efforts made by the CPC and les-sons it has learned over the past century, is a message of hope to the over 7 billion people living around the world today. The CPC's message of hope through the pub-lication is to let the world know that just because you are born in poverty, it does not mean you have to live in poverty. This is a testament to the fact that China's growth and development proves socialism with Chinese characteristics does not mean pov-erty. Fundamentally, the strength of the CPC and the strength of socialism with Chinese characteristics are attributable to the fact that Marxism works. This is the same mes-sage China intends to promote; a message of upholding the banner of socialism and adhering to the road of peaceful develop-ment, incorporating hope, dream, joy, love, vision, people-oriented mindset, strength and shared common prosperity with the world. In addition, through the publication, the CPC intends to let the world know that the nation is open to deepen exchanges with political parties globally, promote collabora-tion among nations to seek common devel-opment, and make constructive efforts in building a better world. This message best describes the world's expectations of China.
