Aluminum alloys have been used widely as structural materials in the field of aerospace, high speed train and car etc. due to their advantages such as low density, high strength, and good corrosion resistance. Improved properties of these materials can increase the reliability, durability and life of the structural components, and decrease the cost and CO2 emission. The special issue focuses on the recent development of advanced aluminum alloys applied in the transportation field, particularly aerospace, train and car.
