摘要

China's achievement in poverty alleviation was highly praised by Kremer,the winner of the 2019 Nobel Prize in Economics,as the rural poverty population saw a dramatic decrease.The goal of poverty alleviation for China was achieved by the end of 2020.China has lifted hundreds of millions of people out of extreme poverty,which other countries have never accomplished in only 40-plus years.However,as China is still the largest developing coun-try in the world,relative poverty remains one of the greatest long-term issues on its agenda.China is facing a starting point for rural revitalization on the basis of consolidating and ex-panding the achievements in poverty alleviation.It is a challenge to balance rural revitaliza-tion with the preservation of the local eco-environment.The practical approach calls for a new academic ideology and Zhu's work Geography Thinking and Practice presents a prom-ising suitable candidate.
