China has been integrating into the global supply chain since its acces-sion to the World Trade Organization in 2001. In 2010, its manufacturing added value exceeded that of the United States to top the world. Nine years later, this figure reached those of the U.S., Japan and Germany combined, accounting for 28.1 percent of the world's total.
