<正> 1.a.alone(单独)指独自一人,周围没有其他人。仅仅表明一人独处的事实,没有感情色彩,例如: In Beijing the ticket—collector at the gate noticed thathe was alone and shouted:“Mothers,look after yourchildren,”but Peter went on through.有时,也可用于两人或两人以上,表示单独在一起,没有其他人在场。例如: They began to talk about it when they were alone.
