<正> In America, in states such as Iowa and Kansas, it iscommon enough to see vast stretches of farmland withonly a lonely farmhouse breaking the horizon. Thefarm family often has no neighbors within miles. In manyparts of Europe, things are quite different. Thereit is the custom for farmers to live together in littlevillages, with close-set houses. Each day they go out totead their fields, which may be miles away.
