<正> In 1983 the United States Congress passed a law that madethe birthday of Dr.Martin Luther King,Jr.,a national holiday.The new holiday,which is celebrated every year on the third Mon-day in January,honors Dr.King’s work for civil rights and forthe promotion of peaceful ways to secure freedom and equality.He helped to change America.
