【正】 Standing on the Bund and looking across at one of the symbols of Modern China, the impres sive skyline of the Pudong, a first-time visitor to Shanghai could be forgiven for thinking that this is a new city - a city of the 21st century. Simply turning round and looking at the pseudo-classical buildings along Zhongshan Lu (the Bund) there is testimony to Shanghai’s nickname of "Exhibition of the World Architecture".
