<正> The Namyi livedon the southeastern rim ofthe Henduan Mountainslinked with the plateauin northwestern Sichuanand the hilly areasin southwestern Sichuan.They are distributed mainlyin Miannying, Xichang,Yanyuan and Mutt ofLiangshan Prefecture,and in Jiulong County ofthe Garze Prefecture.The greatest concentration ofNamyi people, about 5,000,is in Miannying.
