摘要

This paper analyses the present situation of Chinese college students' English writing and reviews the history of research in writing. The author suggests a new approach -- P & P Approach in the teaching of English writing, which combines the advantages of Product Approach and Process Approach to make students write more without putting more load on the teacher.
