摘要

Honored as “A Mystery of Oriental Music Culture”.12 Muqam of Uygur music in Xinjiang comes to be the only among the third group of applicating projects submitted by Chinese govermment to UNESCO for listing into the “Masterpieees of Oral and Intangible Hertage of Humanity.”Whether the application will be successful has already drawn extensive attention of people from Xinjing Uygur Autonomous Region and other areas in China.It means a lot in this special year 2005-the 50th anniversary of the founding of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
