摘要

ON the seventh night of the seventh moon(around August 10), rural and urban Chinese people alike have their eyes fixed on the heavens. According to the story known to them all, it is on this day that two star-crossed lovers are reunited on a celestial bridge of love. The day of their reunion, known in Chinese as Qixi(Seventh Night), has been a Chinese folk festival for centuries.
