摘要

<正> I would like to tell you my story and hope you will find it interesting.My maternal grandmother's ancestors left China and all its traditions several generations ago. Though I live in the United States, go to an American school and am thoroughly assimilated into the American way of life, I am still proud of my heritage, however remote. I honor it by learning the erhu, or traditional Chinese violin, taking Putongua lessons, and studying Chinese history.
