Ultra-rapid economic development in China has reached a pace never seen before in the past 27 years of reform with GDP growth of 10.3 percent in 2005 and most probably 10.5 percent in the current year. Taking into account the experience of the past two decades, I think it is a benign trend and not the last hurrah of a fast growing economy.
