<正>ACROSS the globe in more than 100 countries, some 30 million people are learning Chinese as a second language, and 2,300 colleges have introduced Chinese courses into their curricula. At the same time, millions of Chinese people devote themselves to studying English. As the 2008 Olympic Games approach, increasing numbers of Chinese are picking up their books and flocking to the classroom to take part in a language-learning frenzy of growing proportions.
