摘要

Significance of aromatic plants for the landscape construction on Hainan Island was analyzed from 3 perspectives:urgent needs of urban construction,therapeutic effects of plants,and economical efficiency,and 3 major characteristics of aromatic plants were summarized as:ornamental effects,aromatic properties and health care capacity.Application forms and ranges of aromatic plants in landscape design were introduced,and application principles were given as below:A."right species for right land",paying attention to the consistency between biological characteristics and environment;B.focusing on functions of plants,highlighting the harmony between plant landscapes and environment;C.in a relative high density,highlighting landscape layer of aromatic plants;D.proper combinations,highlighting primary fragrances.All of the above can be summarized as "right species for right land,focusing on plant functions,proper combinations,and targeted on landscape effects".The authors proposed that design modes of aromatic plant landscapes fit for Hailan Island should be refined to apply the theories of constructing aromatic city into the detailed planning.
