<正>Applying authentic videos to stimulate students’ motivation for language learning activities has become increasingly popular in English language teaching in China.Based on the analysis of linguistic theory of utilizing instructional video in EFL teaching,this paper is focused on exploring the effects of applying instructional video in College English Listening Classroom.Through the study and analysis,the writer concludes that instructional video is fairly effective in College English Listening classroom though there have been some problems and obstacles.It is suggested that English professors in China should make full use of instructional video to create an authentic language teaching and learning environment where students can easily acquire English language naturally and effectively.The results from this study will provide useful information for the utilization of instructional video in EFL teaching.
