摘要

On November 20,2018,Chinese President Xi Jinping paid his first state visit to the Philippines.The two presidents made a unanimous decisionto establish a relationship of comprehensive strategic cooperation between China and the Philippines on the basis of mutual respect,honesty,equality and mutual benefit,and win-win cooperation,depicting a new historical position of China-Philippines relations.People from all walks of life in the Philippines gave a high appraisal to President Xi Jinping’s visit to the Philippines and held the view that at this new historical starting point of China-Philippines relations,as China and the Philippines actively planned the vision of bilateral cooperation,strengthened pragmatic cooperation in the three pillarfields:security,development and humanities,deepened the Belt and Road Initiative,and jointly maintained peace and stability in the South China Sea,these moves would play a demonstration effect on ASEAN and even Asian countries and help to ensure regional peace and development.
