Status Report of EBIS Low Energy Heavy Ion Lab in 2018 at IMP

摘要

In 2018,43 different types of heavy ion beams of H,He,N,O,Ne and Ar with energies ranging from 2q keV to 20q keV are provided for various experiments in the field of atomic and molecular physics for the researchers from IMP,IPP and University of Science and Technology of China.Hydrogen-like ions Ne9+are produced and commissioned for the first time with the EBIS.The charge state distribution spectrum of Ne ion is displayed in Fig.1.The intensity of Ne9+with the energy of 144 keV at beam line is 55 pA and the beam quality meets the user’s requirements very well.Fully stripped N ions are also produced and delivered with the EBIS(Seen in Fig.2),the beam intensity of N7+is 2.5 pA.
