摘要

This paper first of all elaborates on the definitions and classifications of euphemisms. With vivid examples of euphemisms used by foreign teachers in their oral English classroom teaching, the author analyzes the theoretical basis and the necessity of euphemisms from the perspective of pragmatics, aiming to provide reference and enlightenment for the oral English teaching in China.
