The Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation was held in April 2019, in Beijing. Since its proposal in 2013, the Belt and Road Initiative has advanced considerably yet quietly, like soft rains moistening things in silence. All kinds of cooperative projects have got off to a sound start and achieved phased outcomes, injecting strong impetus to world economic recovery and the welfare improvement for people living in the participant countries. Looking into the future, the Belt and Road Initiative will further advance steadily in a world that is experiencing profound shifts unseen in a century and serve as a beacon and anchor for the world full of uncertainties and disorder.
