摘要

With the initiation of the construction plan of "new engineering", the research and discussion on new engineering in China are unprecedentedly active, and practical exploration has been on the way. In this paper, starting from the internal and external perspectives, combined with the development trend of economy and science and technology, and the need of university's innovation and development, the necessity of building and developing new engineering was analyzed;based on the current practice of Engineering education, the intrinsic characteristics of the new subject were put forward, and the current and long-term problems that need to be solved to promote the innovation of engineering education were discussed.
