For as long as I live,I will never forget the most splendid summer days of my hometown,especially toward the end of the 1980s,when I,as an elementary school student,was fascinated most by the horse-racing festival held at the end of July.To a person dwelling upon the plateau,the eyes reflect a mostly barren scene before them throughout the greater portion of a year.While,yes,the area is vast,the QinghaiTibet Plateau is truly very sparsely populated.For miles upon miles on end.
