It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the first issue of Green Energy&Environment(GEE)for 2020.We would like to share with you some of our highlights from busy 2019,as well as the latest developments of this journal.Wish all our authors,readers,and reviewers a Happy New Year as we look forward to the new journey for GEE in 2020.1.Publications In 2019,GEE had about 120 submissions from all over the world and published 51 papers in 4 issues with 482 pages and another 16 peer-reviewed articles online in press.Two themed issues have also been organized and published,including:(1)Ionic Liquids in Energy and Environment(Guest editors:Prof.Toshiyuki Itoh from Tottori University,Japan,Prof.Masayoshi Watanabe from Yokohama National University,Japan and Prof.Liangnian He from Nankai University,China).
