摘要

"The beautiful universe is calling us to over-reach mediocrity and enter the infinite almighty in its mystery and magnificence."This is a poem by the late Nan Rendong, whose proposal for China to build a state-of-the-art radio telescope led to the construction in Guizhou of the impressive and enormous radio telescope called FAST. The largest and most sensitive radio telescope in the world, FAST is now fully operational. Hopefully, it can reveal the secret of the birth of the universe and, possibly.
