Catherine Amores is shopping around for a new smartphone,only it's not for her.It's for her 8-year-old son,Jacob.The stay-at-home mom says she will feel safer if her second-grader has an iPhone with him at all times.“There was a school lockdow n in our neighborhood recently.That's why I think it is very important to get him a smartphone,”said the Hayward,California,mother.“Being able to get a hold of him immediately will give me peace of mind.”
