Many educationalists both in the west and in China believe that critical thinking is an essential objective in higher edu?cation and should be included educational practices for it is a prerequisite for the cultivation of creativity . But it is found that the absence of critical thinking is evident among English major students. Therefore, how to improve students'critical thinking be?comes one of the major problems that need to be solved. But causes of the absence of critical thinking should be explored and un?derstood first. The exploration will be carried out by analyzing features of critical thinking in Business English classes.
