At present, spinal tuberculosis is still com-mon in many parts of the world and is one of the common causes of the formation of kyphotic deformity[1,2].The formation of kyphotic deformity in spinal tuberculosis is related to the age of the patient, the height of the vertebral body loss before treatment, the involvement of the diseased vertebral body, and different surgical methods. The more serious deformity is discovered in children under 10 years old and lesions involv-ing more than 3 vertebral bodies[2-4].Although anti-tuberculosis drug treatment for spinal tuber-culosis is effective[5],the angle of deformity will increase significantly at a later stage in 15%of patients treated conservatively, and 3%to 5%of patients will eventually have a deformity of more than 60°[6-8]In the correction of kyphosis of spinal tuberculosis, combined anterior and poste-rior surgery and the various osteotomy is an ef-fective method to treat severe kyphosis of spinal tuberculosis. However, the operation gets the disadvantages of high technical difficulty, high risk, and high incidence of complications[9,10].
