As the world's fourth-largest economy and a highly developed industrialized country,Germany is one of the world's major energy consumers.Good results have been achieved since the launch of Germany's"Energy Transition"in 2010,giving the world the impression that Germany is a model country of climate change control and emission reduction. However, although it reached peak carbon dioxide emissions 50 years ago,its energy consumption today remains heavily dependent on traditional fossil fuels, and its rising electricity prices have drawn criticism. The case of Germany,a highly developed industrialized country, shows that there is a long way to go to realize the energy transition.
