Key indicators of the natural gas industry in 2020 In 2020,China's natural gas production reached 188.6 billion m3,up by 8.4％year-on-year;coal-based substitute natural gas(SNG)production reached 40 m3,up by 9.3％year-on-year;imported pipeline gas reached 47.5 billion m3,down by 6.3％year-on-year;the import volume of liquid natural gas(LNG)reached 88.8 billion m3,up by 7.9％year-on-year;and the natural gas sold to Hong Kong S.A.R.and Macau S.A.R.reached 5.1 billion m3.In 2020,the apparent consumption of natural gas in China reached 323.8 billion m3,up by 17.1 billion m3 with growth of 5.5％(Table 1).
