<正> 有一次,我让学生翻译这个句子:这屋子太小,我们放不进这么多东西。结果很多学生译成:The room is too small for us toput so many things.或The room isn’t big enough for us toput so many things.分析以上句子可看出,句末不定式短语有一逻辑上的宾语,即句子的主语。正确的逻辑关系应是to put somany things in the room。由此可看出以上两句句末都漏用介词in。这种句末不定式短语与句子主语构成逻辑上的介宾关系的情况很常见。如: 1.The picture is good to look at. 2.Is there anything to worry about? 3.The boss is a pleasant person to work with.
