The major symptoms concerning learners’writing problemsare presented thus:the discontinuity of both cohesion andcoherence.This paper primarily focuses on the two main causesof the problems:(1)the alternative uses of different registers(AUODR)and(2)an indirect approach(IA)used to developtopics by learners of English.
