<正> Over the years, people in Tibet, Qinghai, Gansu, Sichuan, Yunnan and Beijing have made concerted efforts to rescue, compile and publish or catalogue ancient Tibetan classics. Incomplete statistics show theycom-piled and published close to 600 kinds of ancient Tibetan classics after 1988; these works cover such fields as history, religion, language, literature, philosophy, law, medicine, geology and industrial art.
