<正> Muli Monastery, located in Muli Tibetan Group Autonomous County, enjoys much fame in theKham area. Located deep in the mountains 120 km away from the Muli county seat, the monastery is built halfway up a hill where there are few houses. Despite its isolation, it flourished as the local political, cultural and religious center before liberation, and it remains the local center of Tibetan Buddhism
