The Vertical Bell Labs layered spacetime (V-BLAST) architecture can better meet the demand of next-generation broadband mobile wireless multimedia communications. This paper proposes one noveljoint space-time coding scheme and corresponding decod-ing algorithm for the V-BLAST architecture under the frequency-selective fading environment. We firstly address the joint space-time symbol block in the V-BLAST architecture. Successively, we propose one novel joint spacetime rotational-invariance coding scheme for the V-BLAST architecture. By elegantly exploiting the above introduced rotational invariance property, we derive one decoding algorithm without knowing Channels state information(CSI) for the frequency-selective V-BLAST architecture.Extensive simulation results demonstrate both the validity of our novel joint space-time rotational-invariance coding scheme and the performance of our decoding algorithm
