On August Ⅱ, at around 2:50 pm,the second carriage of a Shanghai maglev train leaving the Pudong International Airport caught fire just 500meters from the Longyang Lu terminal. Fire fighters were quick on the scene, but for the next week the train that has racked up speeds of 400 kph crouched motionlessly on the spot where the fire had been extinguished.
