摘要

In the i930s,a disgusted Shanghai missionary stated,"If God lets Shanghai endure he owes an apology to Sodom and Gomorrah." While said apocalypse never materialized -- at least not yet -- artist Riccardo Arena has managed to use his photography and visual creations to explore possible aftermaths to the city felled by unidentified catastrophe.In his vision,nature has returned and taken back the city,leaving its iconic buildings collapsed,abandoned,and swathed in lichen.
