Chemosensors are generally based on molecules ormolecular systems showing responses to the analytes andproducing the detectable signals. Accordingly, chemo-sensors can be used to detect analytes qualitatively andquantitatively. Development of new sensors with highsensitivity and selectivity is necessary for many areassuch as earlier diagnosis of diseases, food safety andeven anti-terror. For this reason, studies of sensors havereceived more and more attention in recent years. Be-sides selectivity and sensitivity, more efforts have beendevoted to the development of sensing systems whichcan be used in aqueous solution and solid-state chemo-/bio-sensors.
