摘要

On 3 July,2012 the United Nations declared that 2014 will be the International Year of Crystallography (IYCr).This action was initiated by the International Union of Crystallography (IUCr) working with the Moroccan delegation to the UN who proposed the motion.As the President of IUCr,I invite crystallographers and structural chemists in China to participate actively in the celebrations welcoming this important event.
