摘要

Euphemism is a common phenomenon when people use language, which is not only a social language phenomenon,but also a cultural phenomenon. However, because of the differences of life habits, customs and the taboos of different cultures,we must learn to use euphemism properly in order to avoid embarrassment or unhappiness in social communication. This paper explores and analyzes on the formation of English euphemism in terms of four main aspects, for the purpose of helping people to understand and use English euphemism better and appropriately.
