摘要

Self-healing is the ability of materials to recover their original shape and repair damage after being internally or externally damaged.In nature,some biomaterials,such as skin tissue and tendons,are capable of healing damage autonomously.Inspired by nature,several approaches have been used by scientists to achieve functional materials that exhibit such self-healing behavior,with the aim of extending the lifetime of the materials.In general,artificial self-healing materials consist of extrinsic self-healing materials and intrinsic self-healing materials.In extrinsic self-healing materials,when microcapsules or microvascular networks are ruptured by crack propagation,encapsulated healing agents are released and polymerized,thus healing the cracks in the materials.
