The translator’s subjectivity has been applied to analyze two Chinese versions of Sense and Sensibility,illustrating the subjective factors involved in the two translators.The exertion the translator’s subjectivity brings about different translations of the same original with distinct styles,and each translation justifies the value of its existence.Literary translation criticism should take the translator’s subjectivity into account,so a more sound and comprehensive study of the process of literary translation can be done.
