摘要

Introduction The Gharasu river basin, located in the Zagros fold-thrust belt,western Iran (Fig.1), is known for intense active tectonic activity.Use of geomorphic indices for assessment of active tectonics is well known (HousiniToudeshkiand Arian, 2011;Bagha, et al., 2014). On the basis of six geomorphic indices (Keller and Pinter, 2002), Arian and Aram (2014) have divided the Gharasu basin into 89 sub-basins.
