摘要:
Ultrasensitive detection of nanoscale particles has applications in important fields ranging from environmental monitoring to analysis of viral structures. However,it remains extremely difficult due to ultralow polarizability of small-sized,low index particles. With the support by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the research group led by Prof.Xiao Yunfeng (肖云峰) from the State Key Laboratory for Mesoscopic Physics and School of Physic,Peking University, who is also a member of the Collaborative Innovation Center of Quantum Matter in Beijing, demonstrated experimentally that the dissipative interaction in a high-Q optical microcavity allows the detection of single nanoparticles. This work,in collaboration with Yonsei University of Republic of Korea, was published in Physical Review Applied (2016,5:024011).
