摘要

With the support from the National Natural Science Foundation of China,the research team led by Prof.Nie JunSheng (聂军胜) at the Key Laboratory of Western China's Environmental Systems (Ministry of Education),College of Earth and Environmental Sciences,Lanzhou University,in cooperation with European and American scientists,discovered recently that the eroded sediments from the Northeastan Tibetan Plateau by the Yellow River were not transported to marine basins but were instead stored in the Chinese Loess Plateau and the western Mu Us desert.This discovery was published in Nature Communications (2015,6:8511).
