摘要

Supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China,the research group led by Prof.Ye Lilin (叶丽林) and Prof.Wu Yuzhang at the Third Military Medical University,Prof.Qi Hai at Tsinghua University and Prof.Xu Jianqing at Fudan University recently reported a novel subset of effect or CD8 T cells.They demonstrated that this subset of cells plays a critical role in viral control during chronic infection and highlighted the great potential of utilizing this unique cell population for treating chronic viral infections.The research was published in Nature (2016,537(7620):412).
