摘要

Somatic reprogramming has opened the gate to the study of regulatory mechanisms of genetic information during cell fate switching.Defined factors induce somatic reprogramming,resulting in induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs),which promotes rational biochemical investigations.Currently,it is known that reestablishment of the pluripotency transcriptional network is a complicated step-limited process.A series of major barriers during this process are somatic epigenetic marks that have been set during development.Here,we review how reprogramming factors reset the pluripotency transcriptional network and the major epigenetic barriers during somatic reprogramming.
