With the world's largest oil reserves and production,Saudi Arabia is known as the "oil kingdom",and it is a competitive battlefield for international oil and gas prospecting businesses.BGP entered the market of Saudi Arabia in 1994.Since 2003,when it signed its first geophysical prospecting contract,BGP has won bids on 18 seismic acquisition projects,all of which have been safely and efficiently operated.In 2012,as the successful bidder for the world's current largest prospecting projects—S69,S70 and S71,each with a contract term of 5 + 1 years—BGP became the largest geophysical prospecting company in the market of Saudi Arabia,holding more than 60％ of the total market share.
