Semicarbazide-sensitive amine oxidases (SSAO)/VAP-1/AOC3 functions as an adhesion protein to mediate leukocyte migration in inflammation, which also belongs to SSAOs [1].Accumulating evidence indicated the relevance of SSAO with diabetes mellitus. It has been reported that SSAO substrates have therapeutic effect on insulin-resistant diabetes [2].SSAO might be a promising drug target to control diabetes complications. Thus,an in-depth study of SSAO interactome is needed for a better understanding of its biological functions in diabetes.
